All I have been doing in the past weeks is working on my book proposal, the one I wrote more than a year ago. Since then, learning and practice have helped me identify the mistakes I had made, then.
A book proposal is like a business plan. It will either convince agents to read my manuscript or it will get rejected before they even read it.
What’s more, they won’t even look at it unless my cover letter gets their attention with an effective hook, a sort of logline that will entice them to consider my book proposal.
Besides this, unless guidelines are closely followed, my submission material will end up in the trash. Yes, it’s all about the first impression.
Writing is a journey. Getting published is a crusade.
