Working on My Book Proposal

That’s all I have been doing for the past weeks, not counting I was working from one written more than one year ago. Since then, learning and practice have helped me identify the mistakes I had made, then.

A book proposal is like a business plan. It will either convince agents to read my manuscript or get rejected before they even read it.

What’s more, they won’t even look at it unless my query (request) for representation catches their attention. And for that, I need an effective hook (a catchy phrase) or they won’t even look at the book proposal.

Besides this, unless agents’ guidelines are closely followed, their delete click will put an end to my query.

Yes, it’s all about the first impression.

Writing is a journey. Getting published is a crusade.
